The Disney Tag
1. What are your top 5 favourite Disney Films?
My top film has to be The Lion King – I love it. Great story and fab songs. I have a load of Lion King soft toys which I had when the film was first released. Bear in mind I was aged 17 – never too old to be a Disney fan! Freyja now thinks that they are hers….
These are NOT Freyja’s toys. They are mine!
Look at her – all cuddled up with my toys acting like she owns them.
Wreck-It Ralph – This is such an under-rated film but it is brilliant. There is so much humour in it – especially for people of my generation who have played a lot of the computer games that are referenced in it
Frozen – not sure if it is because I have had to watch it over and over and over again, but I love the message of sisterly love and the songs are brilliant
Toy Story 3 (OK, so it is technically Disney Pixar) is another well-written film with so much humour (Ken’s fashion show for Barbie!) but also some heart-wrenching moments. Just goes to show that sequels can be even better than originals.
Brave – another Disney Pixar, but I love that the heroine Merida is a feisty princess who, unlike some of the other Disney princesses is not going to marry the first prince she meets. I also love the exploration of the mother-daughter relationship.

2. What is your favourite Disney character?
The Genie from Aladdin – voiced by the late, great Robin Williams. Brilliant and funny, and really poignant watching it since his death.
3. Favorite Disney Princess?
I think it would have to be Elsa (although she is a queen for most of the film!). I love the complexity of her character. I think she is much more “real” than some of the other Disney Princesses.
4. Which Disney character would you like as pet ?
It would have to be Mushu (the dragon from Mulan) – but he would be less of a pet and more of a family guardian obviously!
5. If you could wear a Disney Princess’s dress to a ball which one would it be?
It would have to be Elsa’s dress! It is amazing and no wonder it was so hard to get them for little Elsa-wannabes last year!

6. Which Disney character can you really relate to?
Dumbo’s mother – not in the going a bit crazy and getting herself locked up was, but how much she loves Dumbo, cradling him as best as she can between the bars of her cage. “Baby Mine” absolutely ruins me. It makes me want to hold my girls close.
7. Favourite ever Disney saying, or line from a movie or song.
I love “Under the Sea” from The Little Mermaid particularly the brilliant “What do they got, a lot of sand, we got a hot crustacean band!” line.
8. What is your favourite Disney Park?
Magic Kingdom was the first Disney Park I ever visited, and I think those first memories of seeing iconic Cinderella’s Castle as you arrive would put it as my favourite.
9. Have you even visited Disney World and what is your favourite memory, if not do you ever plan to go?
Yes! I love the parades at the Magic Kingdom, but I think the memory that will stay with me the longest is the “It’s A Small World” ride – very cute, but over seven minutes of the song going over and over again!
10. Favourite Disney Sound Track?
The one that is played most frequently is obviously Frozen, which is brilliant, however, I think The Lion King would be my favourite. It is lovely to see that the girls are now enjoying the songs to. I love “Circle of Life” and watching the girls lifting up their toys like Rafiki with Simba.
