Summer Days Linky 26th June
Welcome to another week of the Summer Days linky which I am co-hosting it with Katie from Mami2Five Blog this year. The link with run all the way through the summer and into September and will be the ideal place to share your summery posts and find other to read and hopefully inspire you too!
You may want to add a round up of your week, a photo you would like to share, a recipe or a craft – anything you like that makes you think of summer. Would be lovely to see some family fun outside, enjoying the summery weather, be it on holiday or messing around in your back garden. Whatever you would like to add, Katie and I are looking forward to seeing all your summery fun.
Of course there are a few simple rules we would like you to follow please:
- Link up one of your summer related posts from this year.
- Please comment on at least the two posts before yours. If you want lots of lovely blog karma (it’s a real thing, honest!) then the more you comment, the more comments you will get back – simple!
- You can use the hashtag #SummerDays when you comment to let people know where you came from.
- Please add the badge to the bottom of your post to help spread the word of the linky.
- Have fun – it’s summer!
Thank you so much to all of you who linked up last week. Mama vs Teacher shared her “Summer” themed week which looked like lots of fun despite the disappointing weather. I loved the idea of staying in a tipi as The Parent Game experienced in their visit to Roebeck Country Park. I thought the hotel that The Mummy Stylist stayed in during their visit to Penzance looked pretty special.
Last weekend it was Britmums Live. I had bought my ticket back in November so I had been waiting for this for months, and it didn’t disappoint. I met loads of other bloggers; some I had met before, some I had just “met” online through their blogs and some I hadn’t really heard of before. The lovely Katie was my roomie for the weekend and I don’t think there was a moment when we weren’t chatting away with each other (apart from when we were asleep).
Your #SummerDays Linky hosts – myself and Katie
When I arrived in London on Friday, it was a warm and sunny day. I loved the view looking up, past the buildings and into the sky.
Towards the end of this week, the focus has been looking forward to September. As a teacher, it is this time of the year when we tend to get our timetables for the next academic year and welcome Year 6 pupils to the school for taster days before they start school. However, for me I am going through the experience from a parents’ perspective as Freyja is starting school in September. She is so excited about starting school! On Wednesday, there was a drop in at the school where she could see her classroom, meet teachers and meet some of her new classmates. We live close to the school, so we walked there. Freyja held onto my hand, tightly with excitement and anticipation. I held on to hers a little tighter, not wanting to let my baby go. How can she be old enough to be ready to start school? How can she be so ready to start school when I’m not?
The countdown to the end of term has really begun now. I hope you have some summer fun to share with us this week!
