Summer Days Linky 21st August
Welcome to another week of the Summer Days linky which I am co-hosting it with Katie from Mami2Five Blog this year. The link will run all the way through the summer and into September and will be the ideal place to share your summery posts and find others to read and hopefully inspire you too!
You may want to add a round up of your week, a photo you would like to share, a recipe or a craft – anything you like that makes you think of summer. Would be lovely to see some family fun outside, enjoying the summery weather, be it on holiday or messing around in your back garden. Whatever you would like to add, Katie and I are looking forward to seeing all your summery fun.
When you link up tweet us at @karenjwhitlock and @mami2fiveblog using the #summerdays hashtag and we will retweet each post for you.
Of course there are a few simple rules we would like you to follow please:
- Link up one of your summer related posts from this year.
- Please comment on at least the two posts before yours. If you want lots of lovely blog karma (it’s a real thing, honest!) then the more you comment, the more comments you will get back – simple!
- You can use the hashtag #SummerDays when you comment to let people know where you came from.
- Please add the badge to the bottom of your post to help spread the word of the linky.
- Have fun – it’s summer!
Thank you to everyone who linked up with Katie last week. I loved the photos that Emma’s Mamma took at the Hitchin Lavender Fields. A Beautiful Abode found the gem that is Torquay Museum – looks brilliant!
We had a lovely time at Bluestone in Wales. It was a family affair and the girls had lots of fun with their cousins. We were very lucky with the weather, and spent a hot and sunny day on the beach at Tenby. The girls enjoyed paddling in the sea and playing in the sand.
Of course, once we got back home there was a huge pile of washing to do. In between loads, we managed to make the most of the nice weather for a walk in Westonbirt and say “Hello!” to the Gruffalo there.
And typically with the end of the holidays in sight, the weather has started to turn. We have managed to get a few visits in to local parks though. It’s lovely how the girls are playing much more together now when they go to the park. Of course Emily wants to be doing exactly what her big sister is doing!
At least if the weather does go downhill we have a new toy to play with – a SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller. It’s really cool as it connects wirelessly to the iPad which means we can play games on the iPad in a similar way to a normal games console. Let’s just hope it doesn’t distract me from the last few bits and pieces that I have to do to get ready to go back to work.
Only one more full week before school starts! Nooooooo! Hope you manage to pack in lots of fun before in, and don’t forget to come and share what you have been up to.

Disclaimer: We were sent the SteelSeries to try before I decided to mention it in this post
Look at that blue sky! We haven’t seen much of that this summer have we. Glad you managed to have some fun at Bluestone! #summerdays
Thank you! We were really lucky with the weather!
We always wanted to see a Grufallo trail but there’s nothing that’s near us! You are so lucky and this trip looks like fun! #summerdays
Westonbirt is beautiful – well worth a visit!
Glad you had a lovely holiday, the beach looks beautiful, and that sky! Love the picture of the girls at the park, so cute that Emily wants to be just like her big sister xx
Thank you! It is lovely that Emily wants to be like her big sister, but she is still my baby and I don’t want her to grow up so quickly!
