Summer Days Linky 10th July
Welcome to another week of the Summer Days linky which I am co-hosting it with Katie from Mami2Five Blog this year. The link with run all the way through the summer and into September and will be the ideal place to share your summery posts and find other to read and hopefully inspire you too!
You may want to add a round up of your week, a photo you would like to share, a recipe or a craft – anything you like that makes you think of summer. Would be lovely to see some family fun outside, enjoying the summery weather, be it on holiday or messing around in your back garden. Whatever you would like to add, Katie and I are looking forward to seeing all your summery fun.
Of course there are a few simple rules we would like you to follow please:
- Link up one of your summer related posts from this year.
- Please comment on at least the two posts before yours. If you want lots of lovely blog karma (it’s a real thing, honest!) then the more you comment, the more comments you will get back – simple!
- You can use the hashtag #SummerDays when you comment to let people know where you came from.
- Please add the badge to the bottom of your post to help spread the word of the linky.
- Have fun – it’s summer!
Yet again I have loved reading about fun at Q Hotels that Sarah from Extraordinary Chaos and her family have had. I thought these pictures from Our Footprints On the World captured the essence of being out and enjoying Summer so beautifully. Entertaining Elliot Blog made me long for a trip to the beach.
For me, rather than starting the wind down to the summer holidays, this week has been focussed on getting Freyja ready for starting school. We went school uniform shopping. Trying on her new uniform, suddenly my little girl was all grown up. It really struck me that one chapter of her life is coming to a close and soon she will be embarking on her formal education. From September her life is going to be dominated by school for the following twelve years.
During her latest induction, I had a little taster of what things are going to be like in September. Emily and I dropped Freyja off at school and went to the park next door. I had a lovely half an hour with my youngest. It was so nice to be able to spend some time just the two of us, and for her to not have to share me with her big sister.
Life is going to change for us in September. It is a new era for all of us. I will have less time with Freyja, but more with Emily. God help me in two years time when I am preparing for her to start school.
