Roco Clothing Review
Now both girls are at school, it feels like most of our weekends are taken up by schoolfriends’ parties. Both girls love dressing up when it comes to a party! Towards the end of the summer we have a very special party to go to. Our regular baby-sitter, who happens to be one of the girls’ favourite people in the world, is getting married and we have been invited to her Reception. For an event this special, the girls want to wear something equally special. Thankfully Roco Clothing offered to send the girls a dress each for us to review.
Roco Clothing sell beautiful clothes for formal occasions, such as weddings, christenings and parties. I spent ages browsing their website, looking at all the gorgeous dresses and accessories. There really was a lot of choice – and that was just the girls clothing!
Freyja is fairly tall for her age, so I wanted a long dress for her. She doesn’t really like wearing pink either. I chose the “Phillipa dress” by Paisley of London for her. This is a halter-neck dress with a floral lace bodice and long, graceful skirt. It is fastened at the back with a concealed zip and a bow which can be tied or left loose. Although it is available in pink, I chose the mint green for Freyja. It is available in sizes 6 to 12 years. Freyja, who has just turned 7, has the dress in size 7-8 years and it fits her perfectly. The dress costs £34.99 which I think is an absolute steal for something of this quality.
Freyja absolutely adores this dress. She loves how pretty, yet grown-up it is. I think it really suits her.
Emily, on the other hand, would wear pink constantly if she could! For her, I chose the pink Tilly dress from the Timeless collection by Paisley of London. This is a strappy swing dress with a white lace overlay top. The top is fastened at the top with a single button, and the slightly stretchy loop makes it easy to button up on a wriggly child. The dress can be worn without the top, but Emily refused to. She INSISTED that the top MUST be worn with the dress. The Tilly dress is available in sizes 2-8 years. Emily will be 5 soon, so I had this in a size 5-6 years for her. Again, another perfect fit! This dress is also available in ivory and in blue and is another bargain at £34.99.
Just like her sister, Emily is over-the-moon with her dress. She says that she feels like a princess in it!
I have been really impressed with Roco Clothing. Delivery was really quick, and each dress came in its own, zip-up clothing bag. The girls thought this was “very posh!”, but having something like this would make transporting clothes safely to a party or wedding venue much easier. Both dresses are dry-clean only, which is what you would expect from any clothing like this. I am delighted with both the dresses. However, the girls have one very important test for dresses such as these. When they are dancing at a party, they like a dress that will “swirl”. These definitely past the “swirl test”!
Roco Clothing will definitely be my first post-of-call for formal clothes for the girls in the future. I was definitely recommend to any of my readers.
