Num Noms Series 2
Readers of my blog will know that we tried out the cute collectibles – Num Noms – when they were released in the UK back in March. If you missed our review of them then, you can read all about them here. The girls were excited when we got to try out some samples from the new series 2 range.
If you are unaware of Num Noms, Nums are the outer, soft squishy, hollow characters that nestle on top of Noms. In addition to the motorized and lip gloss Noms, series 2 now have scented stamps and funky eraser Noms. Series 2 now includes savory flavours such as Becca Bacon, cheesey-scented Mozza Rella and sushi snacks There are also more sweet flavours inspired by fairground foods, freeze pops, cupcakes and ice creams.
We received the Freezie Pops Starter pack, which came with three freezie pop Nums, a motorized Nom, a freezie pop container, a freezie pop accessory, and a collector’s menu; and two Mystery Packs which each came with a Num, a lip-gloss or stamper Nom, and a collector’s menu.
You can also get Pizza and Brunch Starter Packs, Freezie Pop and Diner Food Deluxe packs, and there are also new Lip Gloss Truck and Art Cart Playsets.
Num Noms are still very popular with my girls. They really enjoyed guessing what “flavour” each of the new Num Noms were and were completely surprised by the savoury scented ones. They love using them with their tea set and pretending that they are real food. They also love the lipgloss Noms and racing the motorized ones.
The girls really enjoy incorporating the Num Noms into their games of “cafes”, and will serve up a Num or two on a plate. The undeniably cute and colourful Num Noms are definitely eye-catching, and the fact that they are scented does make them a bit different from other collectibles. Series 2 has managed to provide a completely new range in different scents, maintaining plenty of interest for Num Nom collectors!
