Munchkin Miracle Cup
I picked up a Munchkin Miracle Cup at Britmums at the weekend, and I am so blown away by how brilliant it is, that I had to share it on it. The idea is that your child can drink from anywhere around the rim as they would from a normal cup, except for the fact that it is spill and leak proof.
I took one of these from the Munchkin stand very sceptical as I have “leak proof” cups that have been responsible for soaking the contents of several bags and providing puddles for the girls to splash their hands in at the dining room table.
When the cup was filled with water I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really could be held upside down without a drop of liquid coming out. I was fascinated by how just the pressure from lips to the rim of the cup would mean that the liquid would be able to flow out. Initially Emily was not impressed by the cup. When she help it up to her lips, water did not automatically pour out. She was quite angry by this so we let her have a drink from her usually cup. However, when during tea she gave it another go and when she had worked out that she needed to sip, she got the hang of it straight away and loved it.
She did get a bit annoyed as she like to be able to pour her drink all over herself and the table. The cup was put through the ultimate test at bedtime. Emily insisted on having a drink from it at bedtime, but refused to give it back. She then cuddled it before throwing and kicking it around her bed. And not a drop of water came out of it.
That was impressive in itself. But to add to this, the cup is easily taken apart into its three components to wash AND it can be put in the dishwasher!
The Munchkin Miracle Cup really is amazing and is £4.99 which was much lower than I expected it to be when I take into account the cost of her current drinking cups.
Disclaimer: Other than receiving the free cup from the Munchkin stand at Britmums, I have received no other compensation in exchange for this post. I was so impressed by the Miracle Cup I just had to share my thoughts on it.
