Keep Calm and Colour In!
Colouring in is a really good way of getting the girls to relax and calm down, and apparently this has now caught on with adults. There are now books and magazines for us stressed out mums to enjoy a bit of colouring in ourselves. I won’t refer to them as “adult colouring books” as when I had said this to my husband he thought that they were something else (and apparently they are a thing too!) but rather they contain complex patterns, mandalas and tangles in addition to doodle spreads which all help focus the mind and help you to relax.
I was sent a first copy of Calm, Colour, Create Magazine from Redan Publishing. It has a marine theme and comes with five free colouring pencils.
I have to admit that, aside from having two little girls who also wanted to colour in my magazine, that it was really relaxing having a bit of time to chill out and do some colouring in myself. There are 68 pages in the magazine with plenty of patterns to colour and accompanying pages to doodle on.
What I like about the magazine is that, unlike the books, it is small enough to pop into a bag to take with me on holiday or on a train or even whilst sat in the doctor’s surgery. Calm, Colour, Create also has its own dedicated social media pages where you can upload and show off your work or comment on the work of others.
Calm, Colour, Create Magazine is available now and is on sale at £4.99 however, I have two copies available to give away to two lucky people. Please see details below and good luck!
