Daniel Galvin Jr OH! Range
Weekday mornings in our house are hectic. I am out of the door at around 7:30am and before then I need to make sure that we are all clean, clothed and fed. I also like sleep. You can, therefore, imagine that I don’t really have the time for a hair regime in the morning. In fact, my hair care mainly consists of washing it, brushing it and allowing it to dry naturally. The products I use on my hair have to do the hard work for me. I am always up for trying new haircare products so I wasn’t going to turn down some of the Daniel Galvin Jr OH! range.
Daniel Galvin Jr is a celebrity hair colourist whose OrganicHead™ collection aims to provide salon professional haircare products, using organic and botanical extracts, at an affordable price. The OH! range is registered with the Vegan Society and is free from parabens, SLS, mineral oils and animal ingredients. I was sent some of the OH! Brunette Conditioner and Argan Oil Detox Hair Masque to try. Both of these were award winners at the 2016 Natural Health Beauty Awards.
The OH! Brunette products contain sage, elderberry and black tea to enhance the colour of brown hair. Glycerine and aloe vera help nourish the hair and scalp. Shea butter and amino acids are added to restore shine and protect colour. The OH Argan Oil Detox Hair Masque contains argan oil and wheat products to help improve hair elasticity and strength.
What I do really love about both products is the smell. I don’t really like hair products that smell flowery. This has more of a herbal and citrusy scent. Unfortunately, the fragrance didn’t last too long on my hair. Both products left my hair feeling soft and moisturised after I had used them. However, whereas normally I can get away with washing my hair every-other-day, after using these products my hair did need washing more frequently. I would say they are probably more suited to people with dry hair.
The really great thing about these Daniel Galvin Jr OH! products is the fact that they are all £7. So, if you are looking for salon quality hair products, but without the top-end price tag, these are definitely worth checking out.
