Cheltenham Food Festival
Cheltenham is famous for the Gold Cup and Cheltenham Festival. However, this is not the only festival that the town hosts. Cheltenham is celebrated for holding many cultural festivals which have featured some amazing internationally famous contributors. There is the Literature Festival, Jazz Festival, Science Festival and the Food and Drink Festival. Throughout all these festivals there is a lovely buzz about the area, and Cheltenham is a brilliant place to be in even if you aren’t attending any of the events.
I have enjoyed Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival in the past. It is held in Montpellier Gardens, and this year is running from 15th to 17th June 2018. It is THE festival to go to if you are a foodie, or indeed if you just like eating or drinking.
A highlight of the Cheltenham Food & Drink Festival is the Jamie Williams Design Chef’s Kitchen Theatre. Here, local chefs from leading restaurants and hotels will showcase local and regional food with demonstrations of creative cooking, sharing their passion for food and some of their cooking tips.
Always popular are the wine tasting sessions. Their aim is to share the stories behind the wine from various vineyards around the world. The talks & tastings in the Beronia Txoko Club International Wine Theatre are based on a first-come, first-seated basis on the day, so it is important to turn up early if you want a spot! This year Oz Clarke will be running a Wine Masterclass with Jackson Estate Winery. This will have an additional cost and will no doubt sell out quickly. Find out more here.
There will also be lots of exhibitors the Food & Drink festival as well as entertainment for all the family, including live music and a traditional Punch & Judy show. It will definitely be a great place to meet up with friends and family and enjoy some great food and drink!
If you want to get you and your family to the festival, then I have a couple of family tickets to give away. If you want a chance at winning one of these, then enter using the Gleam widget below. Giveaway closes on 20th May 2018.
If you can’t wait that long, I also have a giveaway to win some chutneys and pickles from the English Provender co. If you love the Cheltenham Festivals then do check out the Cotswold Airport Revival Festival too!
