A Helping Hand for the Very Lazy Cook
I should start off by saying that in all honesty, I am not a “very lazy cook”. I love cooking. Preparing something for those I love, putting time and effort into delicious food is a way of showing them I love them. However, I am very time poor. With the girls at school, and Rich and I working, weekday meals need to be quick. I want to spend what little time we have before the girls go to bed together, not on my own in the kitchen cooking. The Very Lazy range, can help me shave off a few minutes in the kitchen, so I can spend more time with my family.
Very Lazy offer two types of ingredients – their chopped range and their paste range. In the chopped range there is garlic, smoked garlic, ginger and red chillies. All of these products are in white wine vinegar. The paste range include garlic, red chillies, ginger and lemongrass. All of these products can be kept in the cupboard if they are unopened. Even when they have been opened, they can be kept for weeks in the fridge.
As well as speeding up cooking by saving time on peeling, chopping and crushing, the Very Lazy range are a godsend for adding extra flavour to food quickly and easily. Having a tube or jar of these in the cupboard is so useful for when you realise that you have run out of garlic of chillies and need them in a recipe. The ginger is great because I never need that much in a recipe and being able to just grab a teaspoon of chopped ginger or ginger paste is much less wasteful than using fresh ginger root. I do love the chopped smoked garlic, because it is never easy to find smoked garlic and I do love the flavour of it.

Disclaimer: I was sent a selection from the Very Lazy range to try myself, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
